Explorer Post 1400 Established April 1, 2008

The Richmond Township Fire Protection District is pleased to announce the formation of Explorer Post 1400 in conjunction with the Boy Scouts of America.  Fire Explorer Post 1400 is open to High School Boys and Girls ages 14-19 with an interest in future careers in Fire and EMS services.  Explorers train twice a month and have an open invitation to train with the firefighters and come to the station during emergency calls.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT!

We are actively seeking High School Students interested in this rewarding and competitive field.  Openings are limited!  Train with the men and women of the Richmond Township Fire Protection District!  We will be holding an information and sign up session at the Fire Station on Thursday November 17, 2011 at 7:00 PM.  The address is 5601 Hunter Drive in Richmond.  This program is open to those living in the greater Richmond Area.  To let us know you are interested in the program, please stop by the fire station before November 15, or call the station at 815-678-3672.  We look forward to meeting you!

Basic Requirements for admission into the
Richmond Fire Explorer Program

1. Age 14-19

2. Residency within the greater Richmond Township Fire District and Spring Grove.  Consideration will be given to those not within these boundaries on a case by case basis and availability of spaces.

3. Maintain "C" Average or better

4. Permission of Parent(s) or Guardian(s)

5. Complete an oral interview with the Explorer Program Directors
