The Richmond Township Fire Protection District operates an auxiliary communications center that is able to back up dispatch for our fire frequency in the event our primary dispatch center experiences a service disruption.  The desk features a Zetron Model 4010 dispatch console monitoring 12 frequencies of which 5 we can transmit on (due to FCC licensing restrictions).  Wireless Plantronics headsets for the user allow for transmitting and receiving anywhere in the station should he or she leave momentarily.  ANI decoders on our fire frequency and local frequency identify our radios as they key up in the display of the Zetron console. 

The Richmond Fire Department thanks the Village of Cary, IL for the donation of the Zetron Model 4010 Dispatch Console and associated dispatch console furniture in October of 2005!
