Richmond Township Ambulance 1453

Ambulance 1453 is a 2004 MEDTEC on a Ford chassis.  It is stocked with an array of medications and a brand new LifePak 12 monitor with 12 lead ECG capabilities.

Response of 1453 is focused on the residents of Richmond Township.  As the frontline ambulance, it responds first to all ambulance requests within the district as long as it is not committed to another call.  1453 also responds to all structure fires and is the medical control center on multi-victim accidents or incidents that require multiple ambulances.

Equipment additions have recently added to our care capabilities.  An IV fluid warmer keeps IV fluids warm, which aids in the re-warming process of trauma patients exposed to the elements. The Venoscope II vein finder assists paramedics in locating veins on the most difficult patients so medications and fluids can be administered.  Also an MDB or Mobile Data Browser allows dispatch to send call information to the ambulance which displays the location of the call, a map to the scene, as well as any special dispatch notes to a computer screen in front.
